Specifications
The project deals with a two-story building, located at Av. Joca brandΓ£o, 715, downtown, ItajaΓ-SC. The building will have as possible use, medical offices, commercial office and/or dental offices. In this way, the electrical project was dimensioned in order to meet the needs for all types of uses.

Installed power
The calculation of the installed power takes into account the individual demand factor, as per the regulations. For lighting and socket circuits, a utilization factor of 0.45 was determined, meaning that it assumes a 45% simultaneous utilization of all points. For air conditioning circuits and specific sockets, a factor of 1 was considered, as they can operate at 100% capacity simultaneously. Thus, the installed power on the first floor is 41,953W, and the power on the second floor is 66,912W.
Main circuit breaker
Based on the projected installed power, the main circuit breakers for the first floor and second floor distribution boards were determined using Ohmβs law. The nominal current rating of the circuit breaker should be between the calculated current in the design and the maximum current limit of the adopted conductor. For the first floor, a three-phase, three-pole magnetic circuit breaker with a rating of 130A, curve C, was chosen. For the second floor, a three-phase, three-pole magnetic circuit breaker with a rating of 205A, curve C, was selected. To protect both floors, a circuit breaker with a rating of 225A, with the same specifications, was installed.
